Welcome to the Valley Hill Youth Treatment Centre!

The philosophy of Valley Hill Youth Treatment Centre, “Every youth deserves a second opportunity”, is the foundation of our program. Our philosophy places emphasis on a youth centered approach focusing on the present, combines social learning theories, and performance management to create a basis of structure. Structure is developed through setting limits, routine consistency and the overall process of normalization.

Valley Hill Youth Treatment Centre offers a six week, 15 single occupancy bed co-ed residential treatment program, for youth ages 12 – 17. The Centre is located in beautiful Prince Albert just off the north parking lot of the Victoria Hospital on 9th Ave West. The facility is equipped with a smudge/prayer room, a classroom which is for Youth to participate in school assignments that are brought in upon arrival or sent in.

The staff consists of a Clinical Supervisor, Community Liaison Worker, Teacher, Cultural/Recreation Support, Addiction Counselors, Youth Care Workers, and Night Support workers. Participants will also attend in- house and outside self-help groups such as AA, N/A, and Alateen.

Our addictions treatment program uses a caring family approach and has a modular learning approach.
